Summary
TVB's popular dating reality show Goddess Matching Plan 2 is set to introduce its much-anticipated "hidden goddesses" in Episode 7, airing Sunday evening on Jade channel. The show, hosted by veteran matchmaker Bob Lam Shing-bun, announced on Thursday that the two secret female contestants are 30-year-old Joey Leung Chiu-yi and 31-year-old Yvette Chan Sing-yu . Both beauty pageant veterans bring distinct personalities and relationship experiences to the show, with Joey identifying as an ENTP personality who values first impressions, while Yvette describes herself as an ENFJ who craves sincerity and emotional security .
Key Points
- The two hidden goddesses each selected one male contestant to compete in the "Heartbeat Challenge" demonstration, where their task was to make their partner's heart rate increase through physical proximity tasks .
- Joey Leung Chiu-yi, a Miss Hong Kong 2022 runner-up who acted as Tony Leung's daughter in Infernal Affairs at age 6, was paired with Oswald Kwan Ging-hon for a blindfolded nose-to-nose eye contact challenge .
- Yvette Chan Sing-yu, a former beauty queen, was matched with Oscar Fong Chi-hong for a face-to-face shoe-lace candy challenge where contestants ate candy until their faces were extremely close .
- During the challenge, Oscar's heart rate soared as he nervously closed his eyes multiple times, requiring Yvette to repeatedly remind him to look at her .
- Yvette discovered Oscar has a hidden money-making skill of cleaning building water tanks, and he sang William H. Tsang's "Flying Wheel" as his signature song when asked to perform .
Why It Matters
The introduction of hidden goddesses adds a strategic layer to the show's "free matching" format, creating uncertainty among the 12 male contestants who must now compete for the attention of seven total goddesses . This element of surprise could intensify the dating game dynamics and viewer engagement as the season progresses toward its climax.
